New systems arise organically out of a need to organize
the flow of work. Systems are evolutionary. Once a
system is established, it generates the need to organize
beyond it’s original boundaries – incorporating
additional tasks into it for greater efficiency. In
that sense, a system is like a living organism that
grows – inducting, transforming and consuming all
